Hi, I'm Catherine Droessler

 

I USED TO BE YOU.

I was 51 when menopause hit me with a vengeance - at the time, I ate relatively "healthy", I exercised (not perfectly, but I was pretty good) - in fact, I changed nothing and it was like my body had a mind of it's own and the scale kept creeping up and up and up. And nothing (and I mean nothing) I did worked - I was a Weight Loss Coach and had been coaching women in weight loss since 2007 (albeit they were all in their 20s/30s), so I had tons of tips & tricks in my tool box, but nothing I tried worked (nothing!)! 

After years of trying everything I could think of, I was beyond frustrated, I was tired of the excess stubborn weight that continued to creep up, I was tired of clothes pinching in all the wrong places, I was tired of feeling like crap, tired of energy slumps, tired of cravings, tired of bloat, aches/pains - you name it. I was tired, fed up and mostly at my wits end - I had no idea why the weight was not budging and it scared the heck out of me - where would I be in 5 years, 10 years - how would all the extra weight & belly weight impact my long-term health & wellness - I was scared and also annoyed! That was not what I signed up for! I was done! I just wanted my old self back!

 

I NEEDED A BETTER WAY.

Doing the same thing over & over again and seeing no results was not going to get me the results I wanted. I realized I needed a better way. After years of research, lots of trial & error I discovered the secret! And once I did, within 4 short months, I was down 25lbs, and it has stayed off since then. 

I learned so much about what to do and what not to do. Most importantly, it taught me that with the shifts in our hormones due to peri/menopause, the old ways (calorie deficit: eat less/exercise more) simply do not work at our age. Instead we simply needed to find a new approach that would work for our 50+ year old body.

Instead of focusing on losing the weight, we have to focus on addressing the underlying reason of why the weight is so stubborn and why we feel like crap - we have to stop applying bandaids, we have to stop focusing on weight loss methods that we used in our 20s, 30s because they simply don't work anymore (or they work for 5 minutes but are not sustaining).

Instead, we focus on addressing the root cause - of balancing our metabolic hormones, reviving our metabolism and reducing inflammation. Once we do that our body returns to balance and rewards us in spades! Not only does the weight melts away but all those symptoms also go away and we are left with improved energy, cravings fade away, aches/pains improve, bloat disappears, clarity of mind improves and so much more!

And equally important, in order to achieve long-term sustainable results - we need to learn how to integrate the approach into all aspects of our life because we don't live in a bubble - life goes on, we will have travels, vacations, holidays, eating out, weddings, new grand babies, special events, caring for aging parents, celebrations, planned events, unplanned events, and events that will come out of left field - and we don't want to have to choose between "life" and "looking & feeling amazing"! We need to marry the two together.
